May 30, 2013 - Free Money & Me Workshop

Do you have a high school student in your house or family? Are you committed to instilling lessons of financial responsibilities upon them? A free program that gives teens money management skills is being offered by Buffalo Metropolitan Federal Credit Union. For five afternoons this summer, Buffalo Metropolitan is providing teens with the hands on experience through Money & Me. Graduates receive a $10.00 deposit for their BMFCU teen savings account and Letter of Reference for college or job applicants.

Dates & time: July 29-August 2, 2013, 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. (Participants required to attend each day)
Location: St. Anthony’s Church, 160 Court St., Downtown Buffalo (Across the St. from Credit Union)

To register, complete the student registration form and return it to Buffalo Metropolitan by July 15th.

January 25, 2013 - Annual Meeting

The 76th Annual Meeting of the Buffalo Metropolitan Federal Credit Union will be held at 62 S. Elmwood Ave., Buffalo, NY 14202 on April 12, 2013. The meeting will be held at 6:00 P.M. Refreshments and pastries will be served. Members can RSVP by calling 716.847.6960 ext. 227; the last day to RSVP is April 5, 2013.

January 11, 2013 - We Want Your Picture for Buffalo Metropolitan's New Commercial

Email your picture to inquiry@bflometrocu.org for a chance to be in Buffalo Metropolitan's new television commercial. Please make sure to include your first and last name in the email. Deadline to submit pictures is Monday, January 28, 2013.

By submitting a picture you grant Buffalo Metropolitan Federal Credit Union unlimited rights to use the photograph submitted for promotion, advertising, public relations and general programming uses either with or without reference to your name.

December 27, 2012 - Fastest Way to Receive Tax Refund

Direct deposit is the fastest way to receive your tax refund. Request direct deposit on your tax return and provide our routing number, 222079424, and your account number. For checking deposit, use the 14 digit number at the bottom of your checks.

November 30, 2012 - Debit Card Limits.

There are limits to how much money you can charge on your debit card each day, no matter how much money is in your account, for your protection. The Credit Union can lift these limits temporarily if you know you will be spending large amounts; call 716.847.6960 option 4.

July 2, 2012 - Unclaimed Funds.

Please review this listing of inactive accounts. If your name appears on this listing, your unclaimed property will be turned over to New York State unless you contact Buffalo Metropolitan by November 5, 2012. Any properties that must be published in accordance with New York State Unclaimed Properties Law will be assessed a dormant processing fee.
